A decent he last week saw me get 80 points, with 40 coming from Captain Salah alone, and to think I was thinking of going without him!

So with the dust settled, this week I’ve been going back and forth about my strategy for this week. Obviously the pool of players to pick from is bolstered by the Manchester clubs, Burnley and Villa returning to action, and there’s been a clamber from managers all over to get them in the squad.

With one of my main aims for the season to be reduce the amount of hits I take for transfers however, I‘ve decided that for this week I’m going to sit put and bank a transfer so next week I can have some more flexibility when making moves.

This also gives me an extra week of scouting the likes of KDB, Rashford, Fernandes, Martial, Mahrez etc, as their pre season has been limited, and it would almost be a blind pick to go with any of them at the minute.

Players I’ve considered removing from my team have been Son, Adams, Saint-Maximin and even Salah.

Saint Maximin has probably been the closest to being transferred out before I decided to give my squad a stay of execution. I really like the look of Doucoure at Everton at the same price, especially with their upcoming fixtures.

Another option I considered was ASM’s teammate Jeff Hendrick. I’ll admit, I completely forgot about Newcastle signing him, but I always rated him at Burnley.

But I’ve decided to keep faith with the 15 I went into battle with last week. Aubameyang as captain, and playing 4-4-2.
