GW 31: Get the Party Started

If you read my wildcard post last week, I had already told you of the move I was making this week.

Out goes Patrick Bamford, who still looks to be suffering slightly from his recent injury, and is about to embark on a horrible run of fixtures, and in comes Jamie Vardy.

Vardy is a gamble, I'll admit. He hasn't scored in the Premier League since GW 24 (although he did finish calmly last week before it was ruled out for offside), but I'm banking on the return of James Maddison to provide the extra creativity and kick-start Vardy's season as the Foxes hunt for the Champions League.

In the next 5 fixtures, Vardy and Maddison face West Ham (who have struggled defensively without Declan Rice), West Brom, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Newcastle.

Vardy has historically performed against the majority of these teams, and opened the season with a brace against the Hammers, and so I'm backing on the stars aligning and the Vardy Party restarting.

I'm even captaining him.
