Meet The Academy - Part 1

At the Start of the season, FantasyFootballScout.com introduced their Scout Academy in order to widen the network and give people an opportunity of increased exposure for their FPL related content.

I was lucky enough to be accepted into this, and the monthly update on the Scout website not only drives traffic to this site, but there is also a developing community between myself and the rest of the Academy, where hopefully we are supporting each other and driving the quality of our content up.

The purpose of this piece is to give an introduction to each of the Academy Members, and bringing them to life a bit more for anyone who's interested in their content.

First up it's myself.

My Content is an attempt to reduce the overthinking I've done in recent years, and attempting to re-capture former glories, after a few years of declining performance.

My One Piece of FPL Advice to readers: Avoid early transfers! It's fine planning your transfers early on, and if theres an imminent price rise, that means you wont be able to make your transfer then sometimes you have to go ahead with it, but its best to leave confirming your transfers as late as possible to avoid any late injury news meaning you need to take an unnecessary hit.

Simply put, the #1 goal of FPL Talking Points is be the largest collection of FPL podcasts and streams on the World Wide Web (literally). “World Wide” is a key component for what we want to offer. 7+ million people play Fantasy Premier League across the world.

We want to ensure that they have the ability to hear or watch FPL tips and strategy in their own native language or accent wherever possible. Those podcasts and streams will be organized into an interactive map feature so FPL users can find the content creators near them!

FPLTalkingPoints' One Piece of FPL Advice to readers:

Don't be results oriented. I wrote a whole article on this concept for El Statto's Jumpers for Goalposts website: https://jumpersforgoalposts.info/making-a-plan-for-the-upcoming-blank-and-double-gameweeks/

Being able to accept the incredible amount of variance that occurs in our game is critical for making good decisions over the course of an entire season.

How has FPLTalkingpoints found being part of the FFScout Academy: The best thing about being in the FFScout Academy is that it keeps me accountable and motivated to continue working on what I am doing with the FPL Talking Points website. Having their syndication and support in conjunction with being alongside a group of such talented FPL Community content creators ensures that I keep grinding and innovatin
